Mobile 4G/5G proxies
How dedicated mobile proxies work — one modem per proxy, carrier CGNAT IPs, hosts and ports, protocols, carriers, durations and renewals.
On this page
A Proxuno mobile proxy is a dedicated modem with a SIM card from the carrier you chose, connected to a gateway in that country. Nobody else sends traffic through it while you rent it. Bandwidth is unlimited; the only limit is the radio link itself.
How it works#
your client ──► {cc}.mobile.gw.proxuno.com:<port> ──► modem (SIM: Orange FR) ──► carrier CGNAT ──► target site
- The gateway maps your port to one modem. The port never changes during the rental, even after IP rotations.
- Outgoing traffic leaves through the carrier's CGNAT (carrier-grade NAT): the target sees an address shared by many real subscribers of that carrier. Sites cannot block it without blocking those subscribers, which is why mobile IPs have the highest trust of any proxy type.
- Rotating the IP reconnects the modem's data session; the carrier assigns a new public address from its pool.
Connection details#
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| SOCKS5 port | HTTP port + 10000 (20000–29999) |
| Username | m_ + 8 lowercase letters and digits |
| Password | 16 letters and digits |
| Auth | username/password, or IP whitelist |
| Protocols | HTTP/1.1 with CONNECT (HTTPS), SOCKS5 (TCP; UDP associate is not supported) |
Line format: host:port:user:pass, for example fr.mobile.gw.proxuno.com:10421:m_k3v9q2xa:Hq7Lr2Nw8Zt4Bc6D.
Countries and carriers#
Mobile proxies are available in 10 countries: France, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Poland and Switzerland. You can pick a specific carrier or Any carrier, in which case we assign the modem with the best current signal and stock in that country. 5G modems are deployed on part of the fleet in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland; a 5G modem falls back to 4G when 5G coverage drops, without changing the IP.
The full carrier list with live stock is on each location page.
Durations and pricing#
| Duration | Use |
|---|---|
| 24 hours | Trial and short jobs. From $7 depending on the country. |
| 7 days | Campaigns and tests across a week. |
| 30 days | Production use. From $75; volume discounts of 5% from 5 proxies, 10% from 10, 15% from 25. |
Prices per country are on the pricing page. One order can contain up to 50 proxies.
Expiry and renewal#
- A proxy expires at the exact time shown on its page (UTC). Connections are refused from that moment.
- Renew from the proxy page or the proxy list before expiry: the modem, port, credentials and rotation link stay the same and the new period is added to the current end date.
- Auto-renew charges your prepaid balance 24 hours before expiry (6 hours before for 24-hour plans). If the balance is too low at that point, we email you and retry as soon as you top up; without a top-up before the end date, the proxy is not renewed.
- After expiry the modem returns to the pool; it cannot be reclaimed with the same port.
Performance expectations#
| Metric | Typical value |
|---|---|
| Download | 10–60 Mbit/s on 4G, 50–300 Mbit/s on 5G, depending on cell load |
| Added latency | 40–120 ms versus a direct connection |
| IP rotation time | 5–10 s (up to 30 s during carrier-side incidents) |
| Concurrent connections | no hard cap; see Limits & best practices |
Radio links fluctuate with time of day. If throughput matters more than IP trust, static ISP proxies are faster and cheaper per IP.
