1. What we use and why there is no banner
Proxuno does not use analytics, advertising, social media or any other tracking cookies, and our pages load no third-party scripts, fonts or pixels. We only store what is strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for — keeping you logged in, protecting forms against forgery and remembering display preferences you set yourself.
Under the ePrivacy rules (art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC as implemented in EU member states), storage that is strictly necessary for a service explicitly requested by the user does not require consent. That is why this site shows no cookie consent banner. If we ever add a cookie that needs consent, we will ask for it first and update this policy.
2. Cookies
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
pxl.sid |
Session identifier: keeps you logged in and carries the anti-CSRF token of your session and one-time notifications. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, Secure over HTTPS. | Until you close the browser, or 30 days if you tick "Remember me" at login | Strictly necessary, first party |
| Referral cookie | Set only when you open a link containing an affiliate code (?ref=), so the referring account can be credited if you sign up. Contains only the code. |
60 days | Necessary for the affiliate programme you followed, first party |
A session cookie is set on your first visit: it carries the anti-forgery token used by the forms on every page and is strictly necessary. It contains only a random identifier; nothing about you is stored in it until you log in.
3. CSRF protection
Every form on the site includes a random anti-forgery token tied to your session. The token is stored on our server, in your session, not in a separate cookie. It prevents other websites from submitting forms to your account without your knowledge.
4. Preferences stored in your browser
Some preferences are kept in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to our servers and you can delete them at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
proxuno-theme |
Light or dark theme, when you choose one instead of following your system setting | Until you change it or clear site data |
proxuno-tabs-… |
Language last selected in code examples (cURL, Python, Node.js, PHP) | Until you clear site data |
proxuno-announce-dismissed |
Hides an announcement you closed | Until you clear site data |
5. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie, you will not be able to log in or submit forms. Clearing local storage only resets your display preferences.
6. Questions
For any question about this policy, write to [email protected]. The privacy policy describes all personal data we process.
