Static residential (ISP) proxies: a fixed address with a residential registration

Our third product line is live in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands — dedicated static IPs registered to residential ISPs, unlimited bandwidth, billed per 30 days. What ISP proxies are, how we source and vet them, and where they fit.

Release 4.3 introduces our third product line: static residential proxies, often called ISP proxies. Each one is a dedicated IPv4 address registered to a residential or business Internet service provider, announced from servers we operate, with unlimited bandwidth and the same address for the whole term.

They are available today in six countries: France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.

What an ISP proxy is

The three families we now sell differ in where the address comes from and how it behaves:

Mobile 4G/5G Rotating residential Static ISP
Address registered to Mobile carrier Consumer ISP Residential or business ISP
Traffic exits from Our modem on the carrier network A consenting household device Our server, in a data centre
Address changes On rotation Per request or per session Never during the term
Billing Per modem and period Per GB Per IP and 30 days
Bandwidth Unlimited Metered Unlimited

A static ISP proxy combines two properties that are otherwise hard to get together: the registration of a consumer or small-business network, and the stability of a server. No household is involved, so the address never disappears because someone switched off a router, and throughput is that of a data-centre uplink.

How we source the addresses

ISP proxy ranges come from agreements with Internet service providers that lease IPv4 blocks and announce them, or let us announce them, from our infrastructure. The ranges remain registered to the ISP in the RIPE database, and IP-intelligence services classify them according to that registration.

Not every leased range is worth selling. Before a range enters our pool, we check:

  • Block lists. Every address is tested against the major public DNS-based block lists and spam databases. Ranges with a history of abuse are rejected outright.
  • Classification. We query several commercial IP-intelligence databases and only keep ranges that are consistently classified as ISP or residential, not hosting.
  • Geolocation consistency. The country reported by geolocation databases must match the country we sell the address in. Ranges that geolocate inconsistently are held back until databases converge.
  • Neighbourhood. We avoid ranges whose surrounding addresses are dominated by known proxy or VPN services, because some detection systems score entire subnets.

We repeat these checks periodically on addresses in service, and replace any address that degrades.

When to choose static ISP proxies

Static ISP proxies are the right tool when a consistent address over weeks matters more than rotation:

  • Account management. Marketplaces, ad accounts and social profiles that should always be accessed from the same address. A static residential IP is the closest thing to "the same home connection every day".
  • Allow-listed access. Partner portals and B2B services that whitelist client IPs and expect a residential-looking source.
  • Long sessions. Workflows that keep a session open for hours, where a residential peer would be likely to disconnect.
  • Bandwidth-heavy work. Unlimited bandwidth makes static ISP proxies cost-effective for media or large page loads on targets that accept them.

Choose rotating residential instead for broad geographic coverage or high identity counts, and dedicated mobile proxies for the strictest targets — mobile CGNAT addresses remain the hardest to block.

Connecting

Each static proxy has its own IP, a username of the form s_xxxxxxxx and a 16-character password.

Protocol Port
HTTP 8000
SOCKS5 8001
curl -x http://s_ab12cd34:[email protected]:8000 https://api.ipify.org

The address in the example is from a documentation range; yours is shown in the dashboard. As with every product, you can use IP-whitelist authentication instead of credentials, and export your list in the usual host:port:user:pass format.

Renewals keep the address

A static proxy keeps its IP for the full 30-day term, and renewing keeps the same IP. That is the whole point for account work: if you renew before expiry, nothing changes for the accounts behind it. If a proxy expires without renewal, the address goes through a quarantine period before it is reallocated to anyone else.

Honest limitations

  • Some detection vendors know ISP-proxy ranges. Because the address is announced from a data centre, latency patterns and network paths can differ from a real household. The best anti-bot systems can sometimes tell. Our vetting reduces this, but it is the reason mobile proxies still exist.
  • City targeting is not available. Static addresses geolocate to a country and usually a region, but we do not sell them by city.
  • Six countries for now. We will add markets as we find ranges that pass every check above.

Ordering

Static ISP proxies are ordered from the dashboard by country and quantity, from one IP upwards; current prices are on the pricing page. The static proxies documentation covers ports, authentication and export formats in detail.
