The problem
Research teams browse marketplaces, classified sites, review platforms and local news the way a resident would, often with accounts on paid panels or B2B portals that flag logins from changing IPs.
A stable residential address per country keeps those sessions consistent for weeks, while still being classified as a household connection rather than a datacentre.
Configuration
- Product
- Static residential (ISP), 30-day period, renewed
- Mapping
- One IP per country and per research profile
- Rotation
- None — the address stays the same while you renew
- Authentication
- IP whitelist for office networks, password for remote analysts
- Browser
- Persistent profile with locale and time zone of the market
- Scale-out
- Rotating residential for bulk collection jobs
Example
import puppeteer from 'puppeteer';
const browser = await puppeteer.launch({
args: ['--proxy-server=http://203.0.113.48:8000', '--lang=es-ES'],
userDataDir: './profiles/es-research',
});
const page = await browser.newPage();
await page.authenticate({ username: 's_p4x8n2qe', password: 'Kd7Wm3Rt9Yb2Hc5N' });
await page.emulateTimezone('Europe/Madrid');
await page.goto('https://www.example.es/', { waitUntil: 'networkidle2' });
console.log(await page.title());

Best practices
- Keep one IP per profile and per country; do not share a research account across addresses.
- Renew before expiry — an expired static IP returns to the pool and cannot be reserved again.
- Use rotating residential for bulk downloads and keep the static IPs for logged-in work.
- Document sources and collection dates so findings can be reproduced.
Compliance
Respect the terms of the panels and platforms you use and the GDPR when research involves personal data; never resell content you are not licensed to redistribute.
