WindTre on our network
CK Hutchison's network, formed from Wind and 3 Italia
WindTre was formed in 2016 from the merger of Wind and 3 Italia and is owned by CK Hutchison. It carries one of the largest subscriber bases in Italy, including several MVNOs.
Network generation
Our WindTre modems in Italy run on 4G (LTE). The address ranges are the same ones WindTre subscribers use every day, and the throughput of a dedicated modem comfortably covers browser automation, scraping and QA workloads.
Carrier-grade NAT
Mobile operators have far more subscribers than public IPv4 addresses, so they place handsets behind carrier-grade NAT (CGNAT): hundreds or thousands of devices share each public address. Proxies on WindTre exit through the same CGNAT gateways as WindTre's own subscribers, which is why target sites rarely block them — a block would hit their real customers too.
The flip side is that you do not own the address. Other WindTre subscribers can appear behind the same IP at the same time, and the public address is assigned by WindTre, not by us.
How rotation behaves
Rotating a mobile proxy reconnects the modem's data session, and WindTre assigns a new address from its pool. Expect a few seconds of interruption while the session re-establishes; open connections are closed. We enforce 10 seconds between two manual rotations of the same proxy.
Because the carrier chooses the new address, you can occasionally receive one you have seen before, especially after many rotations in a short period. Rotation can be triggered from the dashboard, the API or the rotation link, or scheduled every 2 to 60 minutes.

Are WindTre proxies shared with other customers?
No. Each proxy is a dedicated modem with its own WindTre SIM, used by you alone for the duration of the plan. The public IP sits behind WindTre's CGNAT, so ordinary WindTre subscribers may share it — that is what makes the traffic look like theirs.
Can I move an existing proxy from WindTre to another carrier?
No. The carrier is tied to the modem's SIM. Order a proxy on the other carrier, or choose "any carrier" at checkout when the network does not matter for your use.
How long does a rotation take on WindTre?
The modem reconnects and receives a new address from WindTre, usually within a few seconds. Manual rotations are limited to one every 10 seconds per proxy; scheduled rotation runs every 2 to 60 minutes.
Is bandwidth limited on WindTre proxies?
No. Mobile proxies have unlimited bandwidth and we apply no traffic cap. Throughput depends on WindTre's radio conditions at the modem site.
How much does a proxy on WindTre cost?
$9 for 24 hours, $39 for 7 days or $99 for 30 days per proxy — the same price for every carrier in Italy. 30-day plans get a volume discount from 5 proxies.

Start with 24 hours for $9. The carrier stays the same when you extend to 7 or 30 days.
