## General

What Proxuno sells, how delivery works and where to start.

### What exactly does Proxuno provide?

Proxuno provides dedicated mobile 4G/5G proxies in 10 European countries, rotating residential traffic in 20 countries and static ISP proxies in 6 countries. Each dedicated mobile proxy uses one physical modem and carrier SIM. Every product supports HTTP(S) and SOCKS5 and uses the same crypto-funded prepaid balance.

### Which product should I choose?

- **Mobile 4G/5G** for the highest IP trust: social media, ad accounts, sites that block everything except real mobile users. You control when the IP changes.
- **Rotating residential** for volume and geography: crawling, SERP and price monitoring, city-level targeting, a new IP per request or sticky sessions.
- **Static ISP** when you need the same residential-looking IP for weeks with server-grade speed: account management, allow-listed integrations.

The [documentation](/docs) has a comparison in each product guide.

### How fast are proxies delivered?

Once your balance is funded, purchases are paid when you confirm the order. Top-ups require network confirmation and manual verification by an administrator before balance credit; validation is not instant. Mobile and static proxies appear in your dashboard with their credentials; residential traffic is credited to your account.

[Link to this answer](#faq-delivery-time)

### Is there a free trial?

No. The [24-hour mobile plan is the paid trial](/mobile-proxy-trial), from $7 per proxy depending on the country. The minimum crypto top-up is $25; the remainder stays on your balance for later purchases. The smallest residential package is 1 GB at $7.

[Link to this answer](#faq-free-trial)

### Do you support HTTPS and SOCKS5?

Yes. Every proxy has an HTTP port (which tunnels HTTPS with `CONNECT`) and a SOCKS5 port. Mobile proxies use their HTTP port + 10000 for SOCKS5, residential uses ports 7000/7001, static ISP 8000/8001. UDP over SOCKS5 is not supported.

[Link to this answer](#faq-protocols)

### Do I need to verify my identity?

No identity documents are required for opening a Proxuno account: signup asks for an email address and password. Top-up transfers are verified manually from the order reference and transaction details you provide to support. Your sending exchange may apply its own rules. We may ask questions about your use case when we receive an abuse report concerning your proxies. Read [what we ask at signup](/no-kyc-proxies).

[Link to this answer](#faq-kyc)

### Is there an API?

Proxuno has a public REST API (v1) to list and configure proxies, rotate mobile IPs, read usage, generate residential endpoints and list orders. It allows 60 requests per minute per key. See the [API reference](/docs/api).

[Link to this answer](#faq-api-available)

### Does Proxuno make me anonymous?

Proxuno does not guarantee anonymity. We keep traffic metadata for 30 days and security logs for 90 days, enforce the [acceptable use policy](/acceptable-use), and respond to valid legal requests. A proxy changes the IP address visible to a destination; it does not remove obligations or identification through accounts and cookies.

[Link to this answer](#faq-anonymous)

### How does Proxuno compare with other providers?

Compare the same country, duration and billing unit: Proxuno dedicated mobile proxies are priced by time, while shared pools often charge by GB. Our [provider comparison](/compare) covers coverage, payment conditions and product models, with dated sources.

[Link to this answer](#faq-compare)

### Where can I buy proxies with cryptocurrency?

Proxuno sells dedicated mobile 4G/5G proxies, rotating residential traffic and static ISP proxies payable only in cryptocurrency: BTC, ETH, USDT (TRC20), USDT (ERC20), USDC (ERC20), LTC, SOL and TRX. Signup needs an email address and a password, top-ups start at $25, and the funded balance pays for every product instantly. Unlike providers that exclude crypto from their refund policies, entirely unspent top-ups can be refunded in crypto within 14 days at the net received amount.

### How do I get French or UK proxy IPs?

For dedicated mobile: France from $9 per 24 hours on Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom and Free Mobile; the United Kingdom on EE, Vodafone UK, O2 and Three. Both countries also have static ISP proxies and are included in the rotating residential pool with city-level targeting. See the [France](/locations/france) and [United Kingdom](/locations/united-kingdom) location pages for live prices and stock.

### Should I buy residential or mobile proxies?

Mobile proxies give the highest IP trust because websites see real carrier connections; they suit account management and protected platforms, and each Proxuno mobile proxy is a dedicated physical modem. Rotating residential proxies cost less per request and suit crawling, price monitoring and SERP tracking at volume. Static ISP proxies sit between the two when you need one fixed residential-looking IP for weeks.

[Link to this answer](#faq-residential-vs-mobile-which)

### Do I need to send ID documents to buy proxies?

No. Proxuno accounts are created with an email address and a password; there is no identity-document upload, no selfie check and no phone number requirement at signup. The acceptable use policy applies to every account, and the payment network you send from may apply its own rules.

[Link to this answer](#faq-no-kyc-scope)

## Mobile 4G/5G proxies

Dedicated modems, carriers, rotation and renewals.

### Is a mobile proxy really dedicated to me?

Yes. Each mobile proxy is one modem with one SIM card, and only your traffic goes through it during the rental. The public IP is a carrier CGNAT address, which by design is also used by real subscribers of that carrier — that is what makes mobile IPs so hard to block.

[Link to this answer](#faq-mobile-dedicated)

### In which countries and with which carriers?

Proxuno offers dedicated mobile proxies in France, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Poland and Switzerland: 10 countries. Select a named carrier or Any carrier when you order. Country and carrier details are on the [locations pages](/locations).

[Link to this answer](#faq-mobile-countries)

### How much does a mobile proxy cost?

It depends on the country and duration: 24 hours from $7, 30 days from $75 (France: $9 for 24 hours, $105 for 30 days). On 30-day plans you get 5% off from 5 proxies, 10% from 10 and 15% from 25. Bandwidth is unlimited. All prices are on the [pricing page](/pricing).

[Link to this answer](#faq-mobile-price)

### How do I change the IP of a mobile proxy?

Four ways: the **Rotate IP** button in the dashboard, the proxy's **rotation link** (a URL you can call from any tool, no API key needed), the **API** (`POST /proxies/{id}/rotate`), or **automatic rotation** every 2–60 minutes. A new IP is usually assigned in 5–10 seconds. Details in [IP rotation](/docs/ip-rotation).

[Link to this answer](#faq-mobile-rotate)

### Why does a rotation sometimes fail with “wait before rotating”?

Two manual rotations of the same proxy must be at least 10 seconds apart. Inside that window the API and the rotation link answer `429 rotation_cooldown` with a `Retry-After` header. The cooldown protects the modem's carrier session; rotating faster rarely produces better IPs anyway.

[Link to this answer](#faq-mobile-cooldown)

### Can I get the same IP twice after rotating?

Yes, occasionally. The carrier assigns addresses from its own pool and can hand back a recently used one, especially after rapid rotations. If your workflow needs distinct IPs, compare the new IP with the previous ones and rotate again after the cooldown.

[Link to this answer](#faq-mobile-same-ip)

### How fast are mobile proxies?

Typically 10–60 Mbit/s on 4G and 50–300 Mbit/s on 5G, with 40–120 ms of added latency. Throughput varies with cell load during the day. If raw speed matters more than IP trust, static ISP proxies are faster.

[Link to this answer](#faq-mobile-speed)

### What happens when my proxy expires? Can I keep it?

Renew before the end date and you keep the same modem, port, credentials and rotation link; the new period is added to the current end date. With **auto-renew** enabled, the renewal is paid from your balance 24 hours before expiry (6 hours before for 24-hour plans). After expiry, the modem returns to the pool and connections are refused.

[Link to this answer](#faq-mobile-renew)

### How many connections can I open on one mobile proxy?

There is no hard limit, but all connections share one radio link. 5–20 concurrent connections per proxy is a sensible range; beyond that, responses slow down without adding throughput. For more parallelism, use several proxies. See [Limits & best practices](/docs/limits-best-practices).

[Link to this answer](#faq-mobile-threads)

### Why are mobile proxies more expensive than residential?

Each Proxuno dedicated mobile proxy uses a physical modem, SIM and carrier connection reserved for your traffic. Mobile plans are priced per proxy and by time with unlimited bandwidth; rotating residential traffic is shared across a pool and priced per GB.

[Link to this answer](#faq-mobile-why-price)

### Which countries and carriers have 5G?

The listed 5G carriers are France: Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom; Italy: TIM, Vodafone Italia; Germany: Telekom, Vodafone; Netherlands: KPN, Odido; Switzerland: Swisscom, Sunrise. Other mobile carriers are 4G. Availability of a 5G-capable connection depends on the carrier network and signal; it can fall back to 4G.

[Link to this answer](#faq-mobile-5g)

### Can I choose a city with a mobile proxy?

Mobile targeting is by country and carrier. City targeting is available on [rotating residential proxies](/residential-proxies), using the city flag in the username.

[Link to this answer](#faq-mobile-city)

## Rotating residential

Traffic packages, targeting and sessions.

### How is residential traffic priced?

Per GB, in packages from 1 GB ($7) to 250 GB ($950, i.e. $3.80 per GB). Traffic is valid 90 days from purchase and can be used in any country of the pool. 1 GB = 10⁹ bytes, counting upload and download.

[Link to this answer](#faq-resi-pricing)

### How do I choose the country or city?

With flags in the username: `<login>-country-fr` for France, `<login>-country-fr-city-lyon` for Lyon, `<login>-country-eu` for anywhere in Europe. There are 20 countries and 4–8 major cities per country. The full list is in [Residential targeting](/docs/residential-targeting).

[Link to this answer](#faq-resi-targeting)

### Can I keep the same residential IP?

Yes, for 1 to 30 minutes with a sticky session: add `-session-<8 characters>-ttl-<minutes>` to the username. If the residential device goes offline before the end, the session continues on a new IP in the same location. For longer periods, use static ISP or mobile proxies. See [Sticky sessions](/docs/sticky-sessions).

[Link to this answer](#faq-resi-sticky)

### What happens to unused traffic?

It stays usable until it expires, 90 days after purchase. Within 7 days of purchase, unused GB can be converted to account balance. Traffic already consumed is not refundable.

[Link to this answer](#faq-resi-unused)

### Am I billed for failed requests?

Connections refused by the gateway (wrong credentials, unknown city, no traffic left) are not billed. Requests that reach the target are billed for the bytes transferred, whatever the HTTP status the target returns — a `403` page from a website still counts.

[Link to this answer](#faq-resi-failed-requests)

### Can I use residential proxies with IP whitelisting?

No. Targeting is encoded in the username, so residential traffic always authenticates with username and password. IP whitelisting works for mobile and static ISP proxies.

[Link to this answer](#faq-resi-whitelist)

### Where do the residential IPs come from?

Proxuno residential exit IPs are addresses assigned by residential ISPs. Contact support if your procurement requires documentation of a specific sourcing arrangement, and review the [acceptable use policy](/acceptable-use) for permitted traffic.

[Link to this answer](#faq-resi-source)

## Static ISP proxies

Dedicated static IPs from residential ISPs.

### What is a static ISP proxy?

A dedicated IPv4 address registered to a consumer internet provider and hosted in a data centre. Websites see a residential IP; you get gigabit bandwidth, low latency and an address that never changes during the rental.

[Link to this answer](#faq-static-what)

### How much do static ISP proxies cost?

Per IP per 30 days: $4.90 for 1–9 IPs, $4.40 from 10 IPs, $3.90 from 25 IPs. Bandwidth is unlimited. One order can include up to 250 IPs in one country.

[Link to this answer](#faq-static-price)

### Which countries are available?

France, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Spain and Netherlands. The provider (ASN) of each IP is shown in the dashboard.

[Link to this answer](#faq-static-countries)

### Can I change the IP of a static proxy?

No — static means the IP stays the same. If a specific IP is unusable because of a failure on our side, contact support for a replacement or a refund to balance. For IPs that change on demand, use mobile proxies.

[Link to this answer](#faq-static-rotate)

### Will I keep the same IP when I renew?

Yes, as long as you renew before the end date. Enable auto-renew to make sure an IP you depend on is not released.

[Link to this answer](#faq-static-keep)

## Balance, top-ups & refunds

How the prepaid balance works, crypto top-ups and the refund policy.

### How does payment work?

Through a prepaid balance. Send a crypto top-up on the network shown on the invoice and send the order reference and transaction ID to support. An administrator verifies the transfer before crediting your balance. Purchases and renewals then use that funded balance. If it is short when you order, **Top up and continue** creates a top-up for the missing amount (at least $25) and brings you back to the same configuration once credited.

[Link to this answer](#faq-pay-how)

### Which cryptocurrencies do you accept?

BTC, ETH, USDT (TRC20), USDT (ERC20), USDC (ERC20), LTC, SOL and TRX, each on the network shown on the top-up invoice. The crypto amount is calculated from the amount you top up when you choose a currency. See [how crypto top-ups work](/crypto-proxies).

[Link to this answer](#faq-pay-currencies)

### Can I pay by card or bank transfer?

No. We accept crypto only, through a prepaid balance that you top up in crypto. Balance payments are instant, which is also what makes auto-renewal possible.

[Link to this answer](#faq-pay-card)

### Is there a minimum or maximum top-up?

Each top-up is between $25 and $5,000. Quick amounts are offered on the top-up page, and any amount within those limits can be entered; for more, make several top-ups.

[Link to this answer](#faq-pay-limits)

### How long is a top-up invoice valid?

The amount is locked for 30 minutes at the exchange rate shown when the invoice is created. Send within that window and send the order reference and transaction ID to support. The balance is credited after network confirmation and manual verification by an administrator; validation is not instant.

[Link to this answer](#faq-pay-window)

### What if I send too little or too much?

If you underpay, you can send the missing amount within the 30-minute window; send the order reference and every transaction ID to support. After manual verification, an expired underpayment is credited pro rata at the locked rate and an overpayment is credited in full. Later transfers require their own transaction IDs and review; the same transfer is credited only once.

[Link to this answer](#faq-pay-under-over)

### I sent USDT on the wrong network. What now?

Each invoice shows one network (for example TRC20 or ERC20) and one address. Funds sent on another network may be unrecoverable. Contact support immediately with the transaction hash; when the address exists on the network you used, we can sometimes recover the funds manually, minus network costs.

[Link to this answer](#faq-pay-network)

### Do you accept Monero (XMR)?

No. Monero is not available for new top-ups in the current checkout. Use one of BTC, ETH, USDT (TRC20), USDT (ERC20), USDC (ERC20), LTC, SOL and TRX on the exact network shown on your invoice.

[Link to this answer](#faq-pay-xmr)

### Can I withdraw my balance?

No. Balance never expires and is used for purchases, renewals and residential traffic; it is not withdrawable, except under the refund policy: a top-up of which nothing has been spent can be refunded in crypto at the net amount received, on request within 14 days of the top-up.

[Link to this answer](#faq-pay-withdraw)

### Can I get a refund?

Yes, if a proxy is unusable because of a failure on our side — then the refund is full. There is no refund once a mobile or static proxy has been used for more than 2 hours, or once residential traffic has been consumed. Unused residential GB can be converted to balance within 7 days of purchase. Refunds are issued as account balance. Unspent balance can be refunded in crypto at the net amount received only within 14 days of the top-up and only if none of it was spent — ask support. Full terms: [refund policy](/refund-policy).

[Link to this answer](#faq-refund-policy)

### Can I get an invoice for my company?

Every paid order and top-up has a printable receipt in **Orders** with your name and email address. For company details on an invoice (company name, VAT number, address), write to [billing@proxuno.com](mailto:billing@proxuno.com) with the order reference.

[Link to this answer](#faq-invoice-company)

### What is the least I can spend to test a mobile proxy?

The minimum Proxuno crypto top-up is $25. A 24-hour mobile proxy starts at $7 per proxy, and the remainder stays on your balance. Purchases are confirmed from that balance; unspent top-ups can be refunded in crypto within 14 days at the net amount received, subject to the [refund policy](/refund-policy).

[Link to this answer](#faq-pay-minimum-test)

### Who processes crypto payments?

You send directly to the Proxuno receiving wallet shown on your invoice. Send the order reference and transaction ID to support, then an administrator verifies the network, asset, destination and amount before crediting your balance. Network confirmation alone does not trigger credit. Your exchange may apply its own rules.

[Link to this answer](#faq-pay-processor)

## Account & security

Credentials, two-factor authentication and data handling.

### Do you support two-factor authentication?

Yes, TOTP 2FA with any authenticator app (Aegis, Google Authenticator, 1Password, Bitwarden…). Enable it in [Settings](/dashboard/settings). It protects dashboard logins; API keys and proxy credentials remain separate secrets.

[Link to this answer](#faq-account-2fa)

### My proxy password or API key leaked. What should I do?

Regenerate the proxy password from the proxy page (or the residential password under **Residential**), and revoke the API key in **Dashboard → API**. Both take effect immediately. Then review the account security log in Settings.

[Link to this answer](#faq-account-leaked)

### What do you log about my traffic?

Proxy traffic **metadata only** — timestamps, source and destination addresses, byte counts — kept for 30 days for abuse handling. We never record the content of your traffic. Account security events (logins, key creation, whitelist changes) are kept for 90 days. Details in the [privacy policy](/privacy).

[Link to this answer](#faq-account-logs)

### Can several people use the same account?

Proxies and API keys can be shared with your team, but the dashboard login is personal. Create one API key per application or person so you can revoke access individually.

[Link to this answer](#faq-account-team)

### How do I delete my account?

Request deletion from [Settings](/dashboard/settings). Before that, you can ask for any refund due under the [refund policy](/refund-policy) to be paid in crypto; remaining balance is not otherwise paid out. Account data is deleted within 30 days of the request, except records we must keep for accounting.

[Link to this answer](#faq-account-delete)

### Can I change the email address of my account?

Yes, in Settings. The new address must be confirmed before it is used for logins and notifications.

[Link to this answer](#faq-account-email-change)

## Acceptable use & abuse

What is not allowed and how reports are handled.

### What can't I do with the proxies?

Anything illegal, and in particular: fraud and carding, credential stuffing and account takeover, spam, DDoS and vulnerability scanning of systems you do not own, malware distribution, sanctions evasion, harassment and any access to child sexual abuse material. Outbound SMTP on port 25 is blocked on every gateway. The complete list is in the [acceptable use policy](/acceptable-use).

[Link to this answer](#faq-abuse-forbidden)

### Is web scraping allowed?

Collecting publicly available data is allowed, provided you comply with the law that applies to you and to the data (for example the GDPR for personal data), and you do not overload the target sites. Respect reasonable request rates; you remain responsible for how you use the data.

[Link to this answer](#faq-abuse-scraping)

### How do I report abuse coming from your IPs?

Write to [abuse@proxuno.com](mailto:abuse@proxuno.com) with the source IP and port, the exact date and time with timezone, the target, and log excerpts. We acknowledge every report within 24 hours and match it against gateway metadata to identify the proxy concerned.

[Link to this answer](#faq-abuse-report)

### What happens if my proxies are reported?

Depending on the evidence we may ask you for an explanation, block specific destinations, suspend the proxy or the account during the investigation, or terminate the account. Accounts used for strictly forbidden purposes are terminated without refund. You can contest a suspension at [abuse@proxuno.com](mailto:abuse@proxuno.com).

[Link to this answer](#faq-abuse-suspension)

## Affiliate programme

Recurring commission for referring customers.

### How does the affiliate programme work?

Share your referral link from **Dashboard → Affiliate**. You earn **15% recurring commission** on the purchases and renewals of every customer who signs up through it, for 12 months after their signup. Top-ups of balance do not generate commission. Programme page: [affiliate programme](/affiliate-program).

[Link to this answer](#faq-affiliate-how)

### How long does the referral cookie last?

60 days. A visitor who signs up within 60 days of clicking your link is attributed to you, provided no other referral link was used in between.

[Link to this answer](#faq-affiliate-cookie)

### When and how are commissions paid?

Commissions become available 14 days after the referred purchase (to cover refunds). From $50 available, you can request a payout in crypto. A transfer to your Proxuno balance is possible at any amount and is instant.

[Link to this answer](#faq-affiliate-payout)

### Can I refer myself or use paid ads on the brand name?

No. Self-referrals and referrals between accounts of the same person are not allowed, and related commissions are cancelled. Programme rules are on the [affiliate programme](/affiliate-program) page.

[Link to this answer](#faq-affiliate-self)
