Browser extensions are the fastest way to use a proxy for manual work: checking ads in another country, reviewing localised search results, testing a geo-redirect. They switch the proxy for the whole browser (or for matching URLs) with one click.

## FoxyProxy (Firefox, Chrome, Edge)[#](#foxyproxy-firefox-chrome-edge)

FoxyProxy supports authenticated HTTP and SOCKS5 proxies in both Firefox and Chromium browsers.

- Install **FoxyProxy Standard** from the browser's add-on store.
- Open the extension **Options → Proxies → Add**.
- Fill in:

| Field | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Title | e.g. `FR mobile – Orange` |
| Type | HTTP (or SOCKS5) |
| Hostname | `fr.mobile.gw.proxuno.com` |
| Port | `10421` (SOCKS5: `20421`) |
| Username | `m_k3v9q2xa` |
| Password | `Hq7Lr2Nw8Zt4Bc6D` |

- **Save**, then pick the proxy from the toolbar menu.

For residential, add one entry per location you use, each with its own username: `px4k2m9q7a-country-fr`, `px4k2m9q7a-country-de-city-munich`, and so on. Add `-session-<8 characters>-ttl-30` to keep the same IP while you browse.

### Patterns[#](#patterns)

In **Proxy by Patterns** mode, only matching URLs go through the proxy:

TextCopy

```text
*.example.fr/*          → FR mobile – Orange
*://*.google.de/*       → DE residential
```

Everything else uses your normal connection, which keeps unrelated tabs fast and saves residential traffic.

## SwitchyOmega and ZeroOmega (Chromium)[#](#switchyomega-and-zeroomega-chromium)

The original SwitchyOmega is no longer maintained and does not run on recent Chrome versions (Manifest V3). **ZeroOmega** is a maintained fork with the same interface.

- **New profile → Proxy Profile**, name it.
- Protocol **HTTP**, server `fr.mobile.gw.proxuno.com`, port `10421`.
- Click the **lock icon** next to the server to enter username and password.
- **Apply changes**, then select the profile from the toolbar.

Chromium's extension API cannot authenticate SOCKS5 proxies. For SOCKS5 in Chrome, use HTTP instead, or [IP whitelist](/docs/ip-whitelist) and leave the credentials out.

### Auto Switch[#](#auto-switch)

An **Auto Switch** profile routes by hostname, like FoxyProxy patterns. Combine one profile per country with rules such as `*.amazon.de → DE residential`.

## Rotation from the browser[#](#rotation-from-the-browser)

Bookmark the mobile proxy's rotation link. Opening it rotates the IP and shows the new address as JSON. Then reload the page you were testing.

## Pitfalls[#](#pitfalls)

- **WebRTC** can reveal your real IP even behind a proxy. Disable non-proxied UDP in the extension (FoxyProxy and ZeroOmega both have an option) or use a WebRTC-blocking extension.
- **Sticky residential sessions** last 30 minutes at most. If a site logs you out mid-session, the session ended and the IP changed — start a new session id.
- **Credentials are stored in the browser profile.** Do not sync that profile to shared machines.
- Extensions only affect that browser. Other apps on the machine keep using your normal connection.
