This policy is part of the [terms of service](/terms). It applies to every account, every proxy and every request sent through Proxuno infrastructure, including by your own customers, employees or software. Our IP addresses belong to mobile carriers and residential internet service providers: misuse harms them, their subscribers and every other customer of the network.

## 1. Legitimate use

Our customers use the services for, among others:

- search engine and SERP monitoring, rank tracking and local SEO checks;
- collection of publicly available data, price and availability monitoring;
- ad verification, affiliate and brand-protection monitoring;
- testing websites, apps and geo-targeted content from real networks;
- managing social media and marketplace accounts that you are authorised to manage;
- market and academic research on public information.

Whatever the use, you must respect the law that applies to you and to the target, including data protection law when the data you collect relates to individuals, and you remain responsible for your compliance with the terms of the websites you access.

## 2. Strictly forbidden

The following uses are forbidden without exception. Any of them leads to immediate suspension and, in most cases, termination of the account without refund (section 5).

- **Fraud** of any kind, including payment fraud, identity fraud, fake account creation for fraudulent purposes, ad fraud and click fraud, and promotion or bonus abuse.
- **Carding**: testing, validating or using stolen payment card data, bank details or gift cards.
- **Credential stuffing and brute force**: automated login attempts with leaked or guessed credentials, password spraying, and testing of combo lists.
- **Account takeover**: accessing, or attempting to access, accounts, systems or data you are not authorised to access, including session hijacking and SIM-swap support.
- **Spam**: unsolicited bulk email, SMS, messaging or comments, mass account registration for spam, and sending messages through webmail or messaging services in violation of their terms.
- **Denial of service**: DDoS or DoS attacks, traffic flooding, stress testing of systems you do not own, and any traffic intended to degrade a service.
- **Malware and command-and-control**: distributing malware, operating botnets or command-and-control servers, phishing pages, cryptojacking and exploit delivery.
- **Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)**: any access to, distribution or production of such material. We report every case to the competent authorities.
- **Illegal content**: distributing content that is illegal in the country of the target or in [Country of registration], including terrorist content, and infringing copyright or trademarks at scale.
- **Sanctions evasion**: using the services from, or for the benefit of, persons or entities subject to EU, UN or other applicable sanctions, or to circumvent restrictions imposed by those sanctions.
- **Harassment**: stalking, doxxing, threats, coordinated harassment or the publication of personal data to intimidate someone.

## 3. Other restrictions

You must also not:

- resell or sublet access to our proxies as a proxy service of your own without a written reseller agreement;
- share proxy credentials, API keys or rotation links publicly;
- attempt to bypass the authentication, rate limits, rotation cooldown (10 seconds) or traffic accounting of our gateways;
- scan, probe or attack our own infrastructure, outside the scope of our [responsible disclosure policy](/security);
- send traffic that exposes carriers or providers to sanctions, blacklisting or legal action, such as SMTP traffic on port 25 (blocked on every gateway).

## 4. How abuse reports are handled

**4.1** Anyone can report abuse coming from one of our IP addresses to [abuse@proxuno.com](mailto:abuse@proxuno.com). A useful report includes the source IP address and port, the exact date and time with timezone, the target, and log excerpts.

**4.2** A member of our team acknowledges every report within 24 hours, 7 days a week. We match the IP address and timestamp against gateway metadata (kept for 30 days) to identify the proxy concerned.

**4.3** Depending on the evidence and the severity, we may: send a warning to the customer and ask for an explanation; block specific destinations; suspend the proxy or the account while we investigate; or terminate the account.

**4.4** We do not disclose the identity of a customer to the person reporting abuse. We tell the reporter that the report has been handled.

**4.5** If you receive a complaint about your own traffic, tell us at [abuse@proxuno.com](mailto:abuse@proxuno.com) what you are doing to stop it. Cooperation is taken into account in our decision.

## 5. Suspension and termination without refund

**5.1** We may suspend a proxy or an account immediately, without notice, when we reasonably believe it is used for a strictly forbidden purpose, when it is the subject of repeated reports, or when the activity endangers our infrastructure, our providers or other customers.

**5.2** An account used for a strictly forbidden purpose is terminated. Proxies, residential traffic and balance on a terminated account are not refunded, and pending affiliate commissions linked to it are cancelled.

**5.3** You may contest a suspension by writing to [abuse@proxuno.com](mailto:abuse@proxuno.com) with any information that explains the activity. We reply within 5 business days.

## 6. Cooperation with authorities

**6.1** We cooperate with law enforcement and judicial authorities when we receive a valid legal request issued under the law that applies to us — a court order, a warrant or an equivalent order from a competent authority. Requests from foreign authorities must go through the applicable mutual legal assistance procedures.

**6.2** In response to a valid request we can provide only what we hold: account data, payment metadata and traffic metadata within the retention periods described in the [privacy policy](/privacy). We do not record the content of traffic and cannot produce it.

**6.3** Unless the law or the request forbids it, we inform the customer concerned before disclosing their data.

**6.4** In emergencies involving an imminent risk to life or the sexual exploitation of a child, we act on credible information without waiting for a formal request.

## 7. Changes

We may update this policy to address new forms of abuse. Material changes are announced by email 30 days in advance, except where the change is needed to stop ongoing abuse.
